Classic Game Room HD reviews STEEPLECHASE for Atari 2600 from 1978. This Sears Tele-Games video game is old school horse racing, gambling, good times video gaming. Retro gamers rejoice, if you missed this one the first time it’s dirt cheap today. Steeplechase is played with the Atari 2600 paddle controllers and supports up to four players at once. 4 player gaming on the Atari is so rad and you know it. Control the height of your horse’s jumping with the paddle controller and jump with the …

they need to bring this to psn and xbla.
if your winning its harder coz you dont get much time to see the obstacles comming
all in all the system would’ve lasted longer with a much larger library if management played it out correctly in the early days.
Lots of people learned from this mistake as well as the mistakes Sega made in the decades to come up.
To be frank, while i personally admire Vectrex for bringing the excitement of 3D graphics to home and automobile, there is simply no reliable market data to suggest that it could hold its own. With a piece so different, you never know whether people would actually buy it, and it never got a fair chance to prove itself.
i have this on one of those plug-n-play things that you can get at walmart for like 10-20 bucks. its also loaded with like 10 other games, including Pong!
Game actually looks decent.
This game looks like something that would make me wanna fall asleep but i don’t care for horse racing so i don’t know. Although i love racing games and i don’t care for real racing.
This looks like a great game. I think I’ll try and find a copy. Thanks for the review!
WOO! Another great paddle controlled 4 player game for the 2600..
Nice review there
seriously who the hell had an Atari 2600 now…Awesome review by the way
Those horses magically grow skis on their legs when they fall, wtfhax
Don’t worry, he will.
@3yE Well, if they make the choice to watch the retro reviews, then they will suffer if they are immature about it. They will be scorned, and thumbed down, and
“hidden” into the depths of the comment lists. Simple as that. Now if you gave a proper opinion about a game, that gets left alone most of the time, unless those immature dicks thumb them down because they cant stand someone thinking differently, but legitimately to them.
Atari 2600 was in fact so insanely popular (30 Mio units sold), that Atari singlehandedly caused a videogame crash of 1983, by printing, among many good games, a larger quantity of awful games than could be ever sold. This caused a market collapse, which took a number of unrelated companies and systems with it, including Vectrex.
Wonder if that is a mistake. I mean, it seems to attract a wrong kind of audience, of people who don’t appreciate the unique 80% of Mark’s reviews which are of classic and oldschool games, and are extremely immature too.
cool vid
i think i have this game on a 32 in 1 game card ^^
i realy enjoy these reviews!
the horse racing in san andreas was cool
hop…hop…hop at the end lol.
i Love your videos!!
It would be great to see Atari downloads from 10 to a 1.00 on PSN and XBLA and Virtual Console. Then again, all you really need is the Atari Anthology and Activision Anthology and you have almost every 2600 game that mattered.
Me neither. I’d rather listen to a great speech about games than a basic review. CGR is much more entertaining than X Play.
I will never understand why people hate CGR.
That was so awesome! Where can u get an atari?
lololollol
No, he does have to watch them. Everyone has to watch them, because Classic Game Room is awesome and must be watched by all walks of life.
