Classic Game Room HD reviews YOSHI’S ISLAND for Super Nintendo SNES from 1995! Also known as Super Mario World 2, Yoshi’s Island is an amazing 16-bit side scroller with incredibly deep gameplay with intelligent design that separates it from the normal side scroller. You play as a variety of Yoshis (I didn’t know there was more than one!) who are trying to rescue baby Mario’s twin brother Luigi! Luigi was kidnapped!? Amber Alert! Yoshis embark on the adventure of a lifetime through 40 some …

one of the snes’ fines in every sence of the word
I have fond memories of playing this at Best Buy when the line for Mario Kart 64 was too long. Back when they had that AWESOME giant screen that displayed the games. The games section is a sad sight now compared to then.
first game i ever had
love this game!
This is the best platformer on the SNES hands down.
SMW1 is the second best, what a great combo…start of the SNES life cycle we get SMW, the best straight up Mario ever, and then at the end of the SNES life cycle we get it’s amazingly awesome sequel.
Though DKC probably has the best music on the SNES.
I didn’t get SMW2 as a kid, I got it recently, so there was no nostalgia.
I still think it’s the best platformer on the SNES.
Though, I still prefer old school Yoshi is SMW1 myself.
It would actually be pretty awesome if they made a game where you’re Charles Bronson riding around on Yoshi murdering people on Yoshi’s Island. Actually, make that New York. Actually, forget Yoshi and just make a Death Wish video game already!
man this game was so fun =)
I like the fuzzy level….. good times… good times
Looks like they mixed some of the characters from Super Mario 2 (US) in with this game…
I was stoned whilst watching this video and 6:16 just sent me under
haha, loved your rendition of the intro. keep up the good work
awesome game love it maybe the best jump`n run on the snes? alos the yoshi island on the ds is perfect ^_^different levels.. awesome the n64 version isn`t that good… yeeeeah yoshi island rocks!!!!!!!
Aaaah, a classic
@bigbadbeavis it’s called sarcasm. **I actually loved this game when it was popular, and I still love it today** Just some douche bag was saying how it was really bad so I decided to counter his snide remarks with some ill sarcasm. I do in fact love this game to death!!
This is one of my least favorite Mario games even though it is good. I just could never get to it. I think I enjoy running and jumping in Mario games as Mario not baby Mario on Yoshi’s back.
@Ciyphr
this game is made for 4 year olds and the sounds drive anyone above that (mental) age nuts
I love them both equally
Also they both have great sequels
completely agree!! Always loved playing this @ a friend’s house on his SNES, but I never owned it until it was ported to Gameboy Advance, still an addicting game forever
this game was really tough as far as i remember as a kid
@Akyla0177 How? Just curious, cause I loved this game when I was a kid. I mean, I’ll admit some parts frustrated me, but the game was far from one of the worst. Not loud-mouthing you, or anything I just wanted to know what you hated about this game. =)
Your point?
That crap game on playstation happened pave the way for ratchet and clank, one of the most respected franchises.
i remember this being 23 dolars in 2002 at eb games when i was 7 it was all my money well worth it
there was yoshi’s story on the n64 but it wasnt as good as the original yoshi’s island
rofl@baby mario sound
