It’s amazing you would go so far to explain yourself to us Derek. You don’t have to do that. Your life is your own. You owe nothing to us, you really don’t. We’re YOUR fans, and it’s wonderful you care about us so much that you would do this kind of thing.
In the end though, the entire point of being a fan is to support you, not the other way around. When your videos come out, they come out. The true fans will be here when it does, waiting for you. Everything else is debris in the sea of life.

I remember you saying somtime that you don’t have alot of experience with video editing and stuff, me neither but i’ve seen some problems with your videos you can easily fix. First you should deinterlace your footage on import. This will eliminate the scanline effect. Second you should take care to not mess up the aspect ratio of the video. It seems that you’ve used a DV cam in widescreen mode but not imported it as wide screen in you editing software.
Ever figured out what the problem with your PC was? Either it could be a software problem, or if you never do any other demanding tasks such as gaming, it could have been thermal damage on graphics chip gone unnoticed.
As to DVD authoring, i prefer DVD-Styler (free, all systems incl. unofficial Mac port), because it allows to leverage the power of external video editors for amazing menus, but it also requieres deep technical understanding, so it’s not for everyone.
I’m glad you were invited to MAGfest because you really deserve it man.
Been watching since your first videos when you were starting out. Have rewatched countless of times and still enjoy the videos, so I’m definately buying the DVD.

Disthorn, I know what you mean trust me. Also going from using windows to the MAC OS can be a pain. Also the lack of games hurts too. The Final Cut Suite alone is about the same as if you bought another computer. If I learned the PC editing programs I’d wouldn’t have gone with mac either.

tlynn327, I guess there good for what they do but when ever I’ve had to use them I’ve always found there restrictions a pain. Not to mention I think there pretty dam expensive for what they do. Well that’s what I think anyway. I’ve never owned one. I’ve just been forced to use them a few times.
Anyway, I wish I could go to the convention but it’s in another country. I hope you have a good time if you end up going.
